Analysis of indoor Geolocation systems based on Angle of Arrival technique

Abstract

This paper is concerned with the indoor geolocation system based upon the angle of arrival technique. Angles of arrival of signal emitted from the tag to the reference nodes are measured. There are errors in the measurement of angles of arrival. The effect of these errors on tag position is studied. Uncertainty in tag position due to errors in measuring angle of arrival using two and three reference nodes is computed. Effect of geometry of arranging the reference nodes upon uncertainty in tag position is studied.
