  1. Article Language: Manuscripts must be submitted in the English language.
  1. Article Types: The Menoufia Journal of Electronic Engineering accepts and publishes the following article types:
  • Review Articles: A review article is an article that summarizes the current state of understanding on a topic comprehensively. It analyzes or discusses research previously published by others.
  • Original Research Articles: An original research article is an article that produces new knowledge based on novel research.
  • Case Studies: Case Studies present specific illustrations of specific cases or cases.
  1. Article Preparation
  • Your article should be compiled in the following order: title; abstract; keywords; introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments (if applicable); references; appendices (if applicable).
  • Author names and affiliations: should be provided after the title with the right order of the authors according to their contribution in the article.
  • Corresponding author: it is the responsibility of the corresponding author to handle all correspondence during refereeing, publication as well as after publication. The E-mail address, the complete postal address, and the telephone number of the corresponding author should be provided.
  • Abstract: the abstract must be structured to briefly describe the research objective, research methods, main results, and the main findings and conclusions. Please avoid citing references and minimize the use of abbreviations in the abstract. The length should not be more than 200 words for Review and Original Articles and not more than 150 words for Case Studies.
  • Keywords: the authors must provide between three and six keywords, which must not be part of the title of the paper.
  • Introduction: state the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
  • Materials and Methods: provide enough details that allow other researchers to reproduce the research work. Any already published methods should be referenced. Only relevant modifications should be described.
  • Results: the results of the research article should be presented in a clear and concise manner.
  • Discussion: this part should present the significance of the results of the research work, not repeat them. The results and discussion sections may also be combined in one section.
  • Conclusions: the main conclusions of the study are presented in a concise manner and can be accompanied by a short summary of the conducted research. A section that provides the study limitations may also be presented.
  • Appendices: if there is more than one appendix, they should be identified as A, B, etc. Formulae and equations in appendices should be given separate numbering: Eq. (A.1), Eq. (A.2), etc.; in a subsequent appendix, Eq. (B.1) and so on.
  • Acknowledgments: dedicate a separate part for acknowledgments at the end of the article before the references to acknowledge any persons or agencies who provided help during the research.
  • References: use the IEEE Reference style. Every reference cited in the text should appear in the reference list and vice versa. Use of reference management software is highly recommended for easy management and formatting of citations and reference lists.
  • Figures: figures should be of high quality. Ensure that each figure has a caption (a brief title).
  • Tables: Tables should present new information rather than duplicating what is in the text or figures. It is important that the data in the table are easily understood without reference to the text. Place footnotes to tables below the table body and indicate them with superscript lowercase letters, if needed. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text.
  • Equations: All equations should be editable.
  • Units: Please use the (SI) International System of Units.
  • Word Limits: there are no word limits for papers in this journal, except for the abstract as indicated before.
  • Formatting and Templates: papers may be submitted in Word format (It could be downloaded from here). To assist you in preparing your paper, a Word template is provided. Your manuscript should be free of grammatical and spelling mistakes. You can download the MJEER journal template from the main page.
