It first models the load balancing problem as an optimization problem. It then presents a modified genetic algorithm, called Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (AGA), to solve the problem. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by simulation studies on randomly generated instances and the results are compared with that obtained by applying both the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and the Simulated Annealing (SA). Also, the qualities of the results are compared with the optimal solutions that obtained by applying the Brach-and-Bound (BB) algorithm.}, keywords = {}, url = {https://mjeer.journals.ekb.eg/article_63698.html}, eprint = {} } @article { author = {Eladl, Sh. The device is composed of a Metal-Semiconductor-Metal (MSM) Photodetector and a Light Emitting diode (LED). The analysis is based on the frequency response of the constituent devices without any optical feedback within the device structure. All expressions describing the frequency response, time response, output derivatives, and rise time are outlined. The results show that the temporal response of MSM detectors is similar to the LED response if the cutoff frequency of the LED is lower than that of MSM, while it is similar to MSM detector if the cutoff frequency of the MSM is lower than that of LED.}, keywords = {}, url = {https://mjeer.journals.ekb.eg/article_66807.html}, eprint = {} } @article { author = {Bahey, A. and ElGamal, A. The proposed algorithm is introduced to extract the texture features by combining (1) wavelet statistical features extracted from the approximation and detail regions of three level discrete wavelet transform decomposed images and (2) grey level co-occurrence matrix features extracted from original image, approximation and detail sub-bands of one level discrete wavelet transform decomposed images at different angles . Experimental results are presented using image database consists of a set of photograph face images describing some human emotions, these images were generated by using a digital video camera.
